I’m working on a project that requires a couple of simple custom modules. The first one allows a logged-in user to change the front page without having access to the Configuration menu. The second alters the title of an Add Term page to Add “Vocabulary” (whatever the name of the Vocabulary to which the term belongs).
Typically, this would be a task for a Junior Developer. ChatGPT accomplished both in minutes.
Of course, someone still has to install, enable, and test the module, but AI created correct code with simple prompts. Does it work for more complex tasks? Not yet – but it will.
